SANS ANNOUNCES COMMITMENT WITH CLINTON GLOBAL INITIATIVE TO PROMOTE ENERGY SECURITY
This February, the Student Alliance for National Security (SANS) announced with the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU) a project to promote American energy security. The commitment, to launch a nationwide Declaration of Oil Independence, will begin this month. SANS will strive to collect 100,000 signatures on the Declaration from young people around the country to show policymakers the resolve of young Americans to reduce the country’s reliance on oil.

This project is being co-sponsored by 2020 Vision, a nonprofit organization dedicated to solving global challenges where international security, energy, and the environment come together. The Declaration is also an official Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU) commitment.
